Plastic Welder
Are you looking for something new? Holland Applied Technologies is seeking a Fabrications Welder to join our team! A Plastic Welder is responsible for welding, fabricating, and assembling various components onto plastic tanks to print specifications.
Holland Applied Technologies, located in Burr Ridge IL, is a leader in the sanitary process/equipment industry. We fabricate and distribute sanitary equipment and systems for the food, pharmaceutical, personal care, and beverage industries
Responsibilities:- Reviews blueprints and other specification papers before starting work on welding process and during the steps to assure accurate completion.
- Selects plastic welding equipment, such as hot air welder, angled welding tips, tip cleaning brushes and scrapers that are necessary to perform the welding process.
- Cuts openings into various sized plastic tanks using handheld jigsaw and provided templates. Deburrs cut-outs as needed.
- Hot air hand welds plastic components to tanks per print specifications.
- Assemble various components to tanks per print specifications.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Visual weld inspection using fillet gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and weld fixtures.
- Strict attention to detail and production of high quality parts.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Always maintain a clean and organized work area
- Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, and different climate temperatures.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for prolonged time periods.
- Hot air hand weld training to be provided.
Pay & Benefits:
The expected salary range for this role is $20.00-$28.00 hourly. Please note salaries are based upon factors including candidate skills, experience and qualifications, education, certifications, as well as market and business considerations. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
