Are you looking for something new? Holland Applied Technologies is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team! 
The Project Engineer will act as a member of the project team to help determine the technical aspects of the product and produce supporting documentation.

Holland Applied Technologies, located in Burr Ridge IL, is a leader in the sanitary process/equipment industry. We fabricate and distribute sanitary equipment and systems for the food, pharmaceutical, personal care, and beverage industries.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Creates required project folders for documentation of project
  • Reviews the process and instrumentation drawings (P&ID) to develop and create project BOM with customer input
  • Selection of the proper instrumentation based on P&ID and BOM and reviewing spec sheets to meet needs of product
  • Creates customer submittal packages for components approval to purchase based on the P&ID and BOM  
  • Maintains the accuracy of the BOM during the submittal and purchasing process
  • Work with vendors to address any vendor quality issues that are determined by quality during inspection
  • Validates all designs meet internal and external safety standard and comply to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Maintains project folders with applicable cutsheets and required documentation for project scope.
  • Assists project manager as needed with documentation management
  • Assist the shop with technical issues during factory acceptable testing (FAT) with customer
  • Maintaining factory acceptable testing (FAT) issues punch list
  • Works directly with the project manager to resolve technical and commercial clarifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to effectively work with individuals at all levels within the organization.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Familiar with AutoCAD ideal
  • Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of Industrial Engineering or mechanical engineering preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay & Benefits:
The expected salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000 annually. Please note salaries are based upon factors including candidate skills, experience and qualifications, education, certifications, as well as market and business considerations. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other factors include the following benefits: Medical insurance is available for full time employees and their dependents through Blue Cross Blue Shield. There are various options available including HSA and PPO plans. Similarly, dental, vision, and disability coverages are also available. The company provides full time employees with life insurance and offers employees the ability to purchase additional voluntary supplemental insurance as well. The Company also offers 401K with matching employer contributions along with a discretionary profit-sharing benefit to eligible employees. This position is also bonus eligible, which is based on company targets as well as individual performance targets.
